We participated in the 14th Technical Book Expo

As the MapConductor circle, we participated in the technical self-published book event "Technical Book Expo" and sold our SwiftUI book "Learning Map App Development with a Weather Forecast App — MapConductor Introduction —". In this book, beyond introducing MapConductor itself, we present map app development knowledge that does not depend on a specific map SDK, such as how to fetch and display weather forecast data and code design. At the event, we spoke directly with visitors and received a variety of feedback about the book and MapConductor. We plan to participate in the next "Technical Book Fest 21" to be held on November 23, 2026, where we intend to introduce new developments including Android and React versions.

We participated as the MapConductor circle in the event “Technical Book Expo,” where technical doujinshi are sold. Unlike commercial books, these are books not stocked in stores. Each circle was selling quite niche technical books. The best part of doujinshi release events is that you can talk directly with the authors. Visitors chat, get interested, and buy. And for us circle members, talking with visitors also gives us new discoveries and feedback, so we look forward to these direct-sales events.

At MapConductor, we released “Learning Map App Development with a Weather Forecast App — MapConductor Introduction — (SwiftUI Edition).” As the title says, this book shows how to build a weather forecast app using MapConductor, but it hardly promotes MapConductor itself. It introduces things like “where to fetch weather forecast data from, how to present the data, and how to write clean code.” What this book presents is knowledge of “how to build map applications” that does not depend on any specific map SDK or software. This knowledge can be put to use even without using MapConductor.

Android and React editions at TechBookFest

MapConductor keeps evolving. Currently, in addition to Android, we offer a React edition. And a React Native edition will be releasable soon. Next is “TechBookFest 21,” on Monday, November 23, 2026 (national holiday). The venue is Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall D (Bunka Kaikan Building 2F).
